About Pro Transmission Service

No matter what type of vehicle you drive, everyone dreads having transmission problems.  Chances are, either you or someone you know has had some sort of horrible experience with a transmission repair facility at one time or another. Either the price was way too expensive, the work was of poor quality or both of them at the same time, which is usually the case more than not.

Since these big repair facilities generally have a very high overhead, i.e. large store front to maintain, x number of employee wages/salaries, etc, they have to rush through each job just to get your car back to you as fast as possible so they can move on to the next "kill." They always skimp on parts, installing the cheapest parts possible in order to obtain the highest profit margin possible. Those cheap parts almost always fail, often in a very short amount of time. (Usually strategically only about several months after their so-called "warranties" run out.)

Regarding the transmission repair industry as a whole, the average transmission mechanic generally is very under qualified to work on ANY transmission, let alone the (often needlessly) complex, modern computer-controlled transmissions on the market today. Once you get under the thumb of of these shops, sooner or later you have to take the car back to them (often several times over), hoping that one of those times they will finally get it right. The one thing they never get wrong is how to use their cash register. More often than not your car will never be right because these shops are only equipped with the expertise to take your money.

Those are things that my customers will never experience at my repair facility. After working for several different shops throughout the years of 1986-1999, I realized that my transmission rebuilding skills were second-to-none in this industry, and that I do not have to rip people off in order to be successful. I not only know how to rebuild transmissions properly, I have common sense enough to know that you have to use good (if not the absolute best) quality parts available. I rebuild every transmission to last a lifetime (unless I am just doing a repair on it), and I have personally known of my rebuilt transmissions going past 15 years, some of them without even being serviced. That’s when you KNOW you get it right!

Throughout the years, I have rebuilt some of the most simple, to the most complex transmissions on the market from today on back. At one point in the early 90’s, I worked at a shop here in Tampa where I rebuilt many Mercedes, BMW, Saab, VW, Alfa Romeo, Rolls Royce, Porsche, Jaguar, Honda, Nissan, Isuzu, and many other foreign automatics and manual/standard shift units, not to mention all American styles and literally hundreds, if not thousands of high-performance transmissions for race cars, street rods, and classic rides. All of my rebuilds work as well, if not better than a brand new replacement transmission, and will last for years without the absorbent cost of a factory unit.

The combination of my rebuilding techniques, and my honesty leave my customers without a big question mark.

It’s a perfect job, at a perfect price every time!
